The Marigalante has sailed a total of 52,000 nautical miles around the world. This is equivalent to 2-1/3 times around the earth. This beautiful ship is an exact replica of the Santa Maria, the ship that Christopher Columbus used when he discovered America over 500 years ago. This is the main reason for which the Marigalante made its first voyage in 1987 from Mexico to Spain. To this day, the Marigalante has visited over 87 different ports around the world.
