It is our heartfelt hope that dolphin educational programs such as these will create a deeper understanding of dolphins and their environment, and in so doing, will promote worldwide conservation of these incredibly intelligent creatures. At this Puerto Vallarta Adventure, it is their principal aspiration is to promote a better awareness of dolphins and their intricate underwater world. In order to do this, we have specifically developed the following programs:

The highlight of a visit to Puerto Vallarta Dolphin Adventure is the rare opportunity to swim and play with a beautiful bottlenose dolphin. The 90-minute experience begins as guests enter their palapa for a brief orientation. Through an informative audio and trainer talk, guests learn about dolphin characteristics and how trainers use hand signals and positive reinforcement to communicate with these amazing animals.

Following the orientation, small groups of guests begin their thrilling 30-minute in-water dolphin experience. Swimmers become acquainted with their dolphin through hugs, kisses and rubdowns. Then, taking the relationship one step further, guests swim and play with their dolphin and may even receive an exciting dorsal tow or belly ride.

Dolphin Encounter This 75 minute experience begins with a learning session that introduces you to the dolphins. Learn about bottlenose dolphins’ anatomy, physiology, natural history, husbandry and animal training. Then get ready to enter the water where trainers introduce you to the dolphins. Get an incredible eye-to-eye look at a dolphin, feel the dolphin’s smooth skin, give training signals and even feed a dolphin. Trainer for a Day Experience one of the most exciting careers in the world and become a Dolphin Adventure Trainer for a day.

This program has been created for all people who are curious about knowing what dolphin trainers’ activities are; also you will have the opportunity to be close to these marvelous animals.

Spend the day with the Dolphin Adventure animal training staff and discover the daily efforts involved in caring for and training marine mammals. You will start your day at the Dolphin Center by changing into your trainer’s uniform and then helping the team with everything from food preparation to applying teaching techniques and interacting with our bottle-nose dolphins.
